Designing Language-Rich Classroom Instruction to Facilitate Academic Language Development
In this two-part workshop series, participants will explore instructional supports to scaffold instruction for ELs. We will explore instructional strategies to foster ELs’ engagement in academic conversations (listening & speaking) as well as apply instructional strategies to foster ELs’ engagement in reading and writing across content areas. Educators will work together to develop lessons that support meaningful language use that integrates the four domains. This session will not be recorded. Act 48 credit hours are available for educators who complete the workshop.

Intended audience: all educators of English learners
